BBC: Crafting the Peaky Blinders Finale Campaign

Conceptualizing an integrated campaign for BBC creative featuring custom video content and assets to promote Peaky Blinders' finale series.

As a MA student on the BBC Creative brief driving viewership for Peaky Blinders’ Series 6 premiere on BBC iPlayer, I spearheaded creative direction and asset design. Applying SOSTAC and RACE planning frameworks, we targeted streaming promotion from December 2023 until the February 2024 launch to build anticipation.

I assisted in storyboarding and directing a 20-second trailer reveal, handling scripting and voiceover. Additional video cuts I crafted for the Instagram and TikTok “tease phase" spotlit characters while speaking to identified new and lapsed viewer personas through stylized montages and snippets. The tailored social content aims to hook interest in the Shelby family’s finale. I also designed the campaign’s overall aesthetic and supervised photography and videography for outdoor/print “hype” materials.

Our fully integrated proposal to drive viewership through mystery and callback imagery received acclaim. The client applauded my artistic eye in helming assets resonating with what Peaky fans crave—moody color palettes, tension, and all things Birmingham.
